It's much easier to know where to start on this blog than to know where to start on dad's 1954 IHC R-100 pickup truck. The basic story is that this old truck has been in the family (in one way or another) for longer than most folks can remember. And, rather than let it "liquidate" along with other estate assets my uncles and I have decided to not only keep it in the family but to get it back out on the road in all its amazing, albeit rusty, glory.
The plan for this blog is to detail our goals, accomplishments, setbacks (yeah, we're bound to break or misplace something), and continued celebration of this piece of family and American history. Hopefully there will be some inspiration and laughs for our readers along the way. It's amazing how this truck has already brought out so many stories from family members and passersby. I can't wait to share some of those stories with you and create some new stories as we put the wrenches to this beauty!
